Des Moines Meetup for Mashable's Social Media Day 2012

Mashable’s Social Media Day is officially June 30th! We at CreateWOWmarketing and other proponents of the social media trade are gearing up to celebrate the best way we know how – THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA!

Date: Saturday, June 30, 2012
Location/Time: 6pm-7:00pm at CreateWOWmarketing
7:15pm-9pm at Cuatro (located in the Kirkwood Building, home of the Des Moines Social club)
9pm-? Stay for the Heath Alan Band in the Kirkwood Lounge
Agenda: Networking, socializing, celebrating, information, fundraising.

Mashable's third annual Social Media Day, exclusively sponsored globally by Motorola Mobility, is Saturday, June 30th. Social Media Day, a global event, is a celebration of the digital revolution happening right before our eyes. Join Mashable communities and social media enthusiasts worldwide when you 'meetup,' 'tweetup' and 'check in' with friends downtown this Saturday!

There’s no better way to celebrate Social Media Day than by socializing with your online community OFFLINE in Des Moines while helping raise money for Keeping Des Moines Cool:http://desmoinessocialclub.org/firehouse. Donations are being accepted at the Des Moines Social Club to benefit their move to the HISTORIC FIRE STATION!

- Starting at 6pm, enjoy networking, socializing, beer, Lime-A-Rita's and light appetizers, while participating in or watching a live green screen video production at the CreateWOWmarketing studio at 1533 Linden Street Des Moines, IA.

- At 7:15pm move over to Cuatro, located in the Kirkwood Building (home of the Des Moines Social Club) 400 Walnut Street, Des Moines, IA to keep the socializing going and while you are there try the Cuatro tacos - they are great! Chips and Salsa provided with a drink special (TBA). We will watch the Social Media Day video and we will interview people for an article about how Des Moines businesses and individuals use social media and what their favorite social networks are. The article with pictures and video will be published and shared with you after the event.

- At 9pm enjoy a 'Socialtini' in honor of Social Media Day in the Kirkwood Lounge while listening to a live band.
