So you didn't get to South by Southwest in Austin this year? -- Yeah, cry me a river. Join us at our first official lunch 'n learn session to hear a few local experts give us their take. It may include social media, handhelds & apps, interactive tricks or tools, maybe even music and film. Come see Brian Allen (Aquarium Digital), Jarad Bernstein (Catchfire Media), Hillary Brown (Lava Row), Jill Haverkamp (On Pitch), and Daniel Shipton (BitMethod). RSVP by noon Friday if you'd like lunch: pizza, salad bar & pop for $10.95. If you miss the deadline, come anyway, but only if you bring a friend.

One of the top take-aways for me that it's really SOCIAL first and face-to-face opportunities to learn from people like this are valuable. Great to hear smart people you didn't already know explain some cool and unexpected things.

Comment by Bryan Walker on April 20, 2010 at 11:22am: Can't get away from the office, meetings :( Would be cool if you could capture video of the presentations and publish to the website or share via Twitter or something so that those that couldn't attend could still benefit from the knowledge transfer. Looking forward to additional events. Also earlier notice of events might improve attendance, as people may be able to move things around to be able to attend. Thanks!
