Text to Give
Does anyone has experience with Text to Give campaigns? My take on it is that it's presently expensive (huge sign up fee, monthly fee, and per gift fee) and so I am waiting to sign up our organization until we find a better deal. Have heard that the pricing should improve in a year or so. Wisdom? Thoughts? Many thanks, Terri Speirs

I assume you're referring to something like, "To donate $10 to Haitian disaster relief, text 12345 to xyz number to give?"
While I haven't had an application for this, I'm pretty sure that Brian Hemasath at Catchwind either has experience with this or can direct you to the proper resource. His company has specialized in SMS text campaigns for the past few years and has its own proprietary tool. Very affordable to use one of their short codes or reserve your own ($$). But your need requires the transaction and should be more involved. They're good people who'll know this stuff, can get you started. Hope that helps.
