I have a huge problem with WordPress lately.  It appears that my stat numbers are inflated by web spams and links that when I check to see where they go, it runs into a dead end.

Since I use the WordPress.com to host my blog (the free site), how can I sift through the spam and find out what my true readership view numbers are?

Thanks!

Hi all - I use WP on all my sites. It's nice to find a fairly local group that is using it. Did any of you attend WordCamp Chicago?

I'm finally jumping into WordPress. I'm in the process of installing it on my laptop before setting it up on my production server at kerbertech.com.

I'm mainly a Windows/Microsoft guy for most of my computer stuff, so I'll be setting it up with IIS. I found a great series of installation tutorials at http://www.iisadmin.co.uk/?p=4 (also p=5 and 6 -- it's a 3 parter). It's a little out-dated on versions, but still pretty good.

Got PHP setup, but have to wait on MySql. I must have upset Sun's AI or something, because the mysql.com site is saying they need to verify who I am and I'll need to wait like 7 days to be able to download the installer.

So I guess I won't be up and running before the happy hour tonight. :)
Oh well.
