Over the last few years, Kelly has learned a lot about using social media for fun. She's the first to admit that she's no pro but does handle the social media efforts of the Young Professionals Connenction as well as her own. Kelly has lived in Des Moines since graduating from the University of Iowa in 2003. She spent six years planning events for both non-profit and corporate companies before launching Socialize Event Planning & Management in 2010. Kelly is an active volunteer for the Des Moines Metro Opera and serves on the boards for SMCDSM, YPC and the Friends of the Iowa Commission on the Status of Women. When she's not event planning or tweeting about her lunch; you can usually find Kelly at home with her husband, Kurt, and their two dogs or checking out some of the great things Des Moines has to offer.

Romelle Slaughter, treasurer of SMCDSM, is a free agent in Des Moines.  He is involved in charitable organizations as a volunteer and is a social media enthusiast who enjoys learning how social media is used in society.

Second year on the board, I previously served as Vice-President for Social Media Club Des Moines. Currently exploring the next stages of my career path, with recent experience at Meredith Corporation for three and a half years as a Research Analyst and a Social Media Marketing Associate. In my free time, I am a Big Sister, and consider myself passionately curious about fitness, health, wellness, animals, and living each day with purpose!

Cinnamon Rost - Executive Committee

With the re-launch of the Des Moines Social Media Club in 2012, Cinnamon Rost joined the Executive Board, where she assists and consults on various events and projects. She's been a member since 2010 and enjoys the educational and networking opportunities the club provides.

Cinnamon is the owner/graphic designer at 1809 Design. With over 10 years of experience in the graphic design and advertising fields, she has a passion for small business and helping them with their branding and visual promotions. When not meeting with clients or networking, she's designing with her trusty Apple computer, usually wearing her bunny slippers. 

An Iowa native, Cinnamon resides in Clive with her husband Ryan. She enjoys reading, crafting, gardening and craft beer.
