Well, I am interested. I was wondering though if the communications director would be doing this more than us alone though. I spoke with Claire about it, and I definitely think we need to do it. I have done many FB Pages for my clients and they are very successful in cross promotion. the only issue is that whoever creates it, originally owns it. So if I create it then I always own it. You cannot change ownership of it. You can add admins, but the ownership needs to stay the same. So, I think the best thing would be to create a FB Profile for the Group, then the page. Then if the group changes hands through the years it won't matter because the email and ownership will always remain the same. Then all we need to do is make sure those involved in FB have the access (email and password) to that info.
Also I have a developer friend who may be interested in getting involved if we sincerely want to do more with a unique SMCDSM FB apps, etc. Let me know if you plan on going that route and need another person for that.
I would be happy to be involved in any type of Social Media for the group since that is a big part of what I do. I mean I am a Social Media Strategist and Social Fusion is my specialty. Or I'd like to think so anyway! LOL
