AMA Iowa Plans Digital Marketing Month

February is Digital Marketing Month for the Iowa Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA Iowa). The association will host with three events themed around marketing and communications in the digital era.

 

First up is the association’s monthly luncheon on Feb. 2, 2011, during which AMA Iowa will host “Being Digital: Adapting to the New Marketing Landscape.” The presenter, Aki Spicer, is director of digital strategy for Minneapolis-based Fallon Worldwide. In his talk, Spicer will discuss new and evolving applications and technologies, including QR codes and TV 2.0.

 

 

 

On Feb. 9, area professionals are invited to attend “After Hours with Foursquare.” This networking and learning event will include an open-forum discussion of the Foursquare social media tool, presented by two experts from Des Moines agency Innova Ideas & Services.

 

Wrapping up AMA Iowa’s Digital Marketing Month events is the Feb. 16 Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting, “Getting Personal: QR Codes & Personalized Printing.” Direct mail experts Sherry Francisco of the USPS and Steve Schneider of Strategic Imaging plan to share insider secrets to direct mail success.
