I've had the chance to talk with a lot of the members of this club over the last few days and they all seem to say the same thing. "I'm surprised more people aren't using the site as a resource." That's the general gist of it.

It's somewhat surprising to me that the Social Media Club of Des Moines page isn't really all that "social." I'm guilty too as I haven't been beating the doors down with conversation starters.

So here's what I am going to suggest. Do one of two things today. Or do both.

1. Start a conversation on this site. Ask a question, post a topic. Be a thought leader.

2. Join a conversation already in process. Be an active participant. Learn from others. Teach others what you know. Remember, there are no dumb questions here.

There are too many great minds and too many people with ridiculously great ideas assembled here for us not to make a better effort collectively.

This is our community. Let's make it as valuable as possible.
