Trixie Tip Tuesdays

Do you like Breadcrumbs? I am not normally fond of them. If I use them right I can make a great meatloaf with whatever is at the end of my bag of bread. But those are not the breadcrumbs I am speaking of. i am talking about the kind of Breadcrumbs via navigation.

Breadcrumb navigation are those secondary little links you see that lead you back to where you were before on a website. It is helpful for users to help users from getting lost while scrolling and navigating through a series of pages on a site.

Home>Services>Web Design

These are Breadcrumbs. By back clicking the users would be able to find their way back to my home page without having to use their back button.

As a user I find it most helpful and I find other users I have spoke to find it useful because they don’t always understand how to navigate through the interweb. As a designer there are methods we can utilize this by using the forward arrow key, dashes, etc.
