Hi Mike. Thank you for the nice welcome. Yes, I really do want to learn more about Tweeting and the Twittersphere! I am pretty much a novice and I'd be anxious to learn and soak up any information or knowledge in the new communications vehicle. Let me know if there is a good reference book, a "just-have-to-take" course, or a resource of inside information on learning how to utilize Twitter and all these new social networking opportunities.
I really look forward to being very active in the club and getting to know other communication pros.

I tried to comment back to you and commented back to myself instead! Here was my reply to your earlier note to me:
I haven't yet. Financially I either need to land a mid/long-term contract position or full-time employment or else the house needs to sell to make the move. I had some good success with interviewing in the August-October range but it's since dried up. Doing some brainstorming on going into business for myself and talking to my first recruiter/headhunter to see if one of those routes makes sense. I should be back down to Des Moines sometime yet this month; haven't set the dates quite yet.

Hey Mike...I just jumped into the social media here at TimberPine this summer (previously just a landscape designer), prior to that it was almost none existent. Facebook went up in spring..twitter early fall. I thought Facebook would be a natural step for us. It was a great way to showcase the nursery, update fans easily and it seemed a level playing field that most customers could be comfortable with...vs twitter

Thanks for starting up the group! Such a great idea. One of my favorite things to do is get involved, so it is definitely my pleasure. Glad you were able to see "My Top 5" in Juice; it was such a fun thing to do. My husband and I like to get involved, and we look forward to more opportunities!
